SNMPmon allows you to monitor SNMP-capable devices.

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is used in network management systems to monitor network-attached devices. SNMP is one of the most widely used, if not the most widely-used network management protocol.

Several routers, WiFi access points, switches, printers, ip cameras, ip phones support SNMP. Computers running Windows, MacOSX, Aix, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, VMware ESX also support SNMP but usually the service needs to be configured and enabled.

SNMPmon uses SNMP v1, v2c or v3 to communicate with devices and retrieve information based on RFC MIBs.

The following information can be retrieved and displayed:

- System contact
- Network interfaces
- Routing table
- Arp table
- TCP connections
- UDP listeners
- File systems
- Printer
- Digiums Asterisk
- VMware ESX 4

SNMP walk can be used to retrieve a subtree of management values that is displayed in raw format.

SNMPmon can also monitor network interface throughput from different devices simultaneously and optionaly display a graph.

With iPhone/iPod firmware 3.0 and above, retrieved information can be transmitted as email attachment.

Note: a WiFi or 3G/EDGE connection is required.

Visit www.ttrix.com and watch a flash demo of SNMPmon in action.

Pros and cons of SNMPmon app for iPhone and iPad

SNMPmon app good for

Im really impressed with this app. After configuring SNMP on my wireless router, it was a breeze to setup monitoring and graphing of its interfaces. Ill throw some custom MIBs at this app shortly; based on how well the router went, I have (justifiably!) high expectations. Recommended app!
Works well. Love the view into my network devices from my phone!!! Recommend for those snmp geeks that want to see inside their routers, airports and other network devices.
Not watered down at all. It even pulled the arp cache from my router!
Get it. Works great ! Thanks for fixing the rotation bug. :-)
It just works, every time. Its bulletproof and completely intuitive. I hope they add features to facilitate working with large numbers of hosts, such as sorting by host name and host groupings. It would also be cool if each host had a green dot for SNMP Up, a yellow dot for PING Up, and a red dot for Not Responding.
This is a great start and would probably work fine on small equipment but on big switches it needs a little configurability. It would be really useful to be able to configure what you want to be polled, this way it would be able to satisfy different needs. Maybe even allow for a small network map? The snmp v3 is flawless and worked right off the bat. Works well. Buy it!

Some bad moments

The app crashes on hitting the monitor bandwidth button. The bandwidth monitor was configured to report my routers lan and wan interfaces.
App freezes and randomly shuts down menu items. Waist of money....
App doesnt work properly on iOS 8. Developer did not reply to emails asking if there was an update coming. Great tool when it worked, too bad.
On iPad, pulling up anything closes the screen, making this a useless app. Iphone users will see strange gray lines.
